Going Green And Taking My Family Along For The Ride
I’ve always tried to be green. We recycle, we use reusable products, I even cloth diapered and used cloth wipes. But there was always a nagging feeling that it still wasn’t enough. There was always something more I could do. If only we lived somewhere else, if only the kids were older, if only we had more money, if only…
I don’t want to “if only” my life away.
I want to be greener, be more environmentally friendly, be the person I want to be. And I’m going to force myself to be accountable, not just to myself, but to the world. If I mess up I have to come here and tell everyone that I messed up. It won’t be just me knowing if I toss out a glass jar or buy a bottle of water. Everyone will know, and I’m hoping that will help me to keep going when I’m ready to quit.
I’m not trying to duplicate blogs like No Impact Man or TreeHugger. I have no ideas of a book deal, a mass following, or a lucrative income. I just want to share my attempts at making myself, and my family, more environmentally friendly. Maybe I’ll help others learn something along the way, most definitely I’m going to learn a lot on my journey. No matter what I’m certain I’ll come out of this a better person.
